Lund pre-school is absolutely fantastic! We only have tears from Fen when she CAN'T go - she'd rather be a pre-school than on holiday !!

The environment is great, lots of space both indoors and most importantly outdoors and proper play encouraged where the children can experiment and learn.

The most credit has, of course, to go to the staff. You run pre-school professionally, but without losing empathy with children, and all your flexibility has been much appreciated by me over the past couple of years. The friendliness of the staff extends to both parents and children and Lund is just the most welcoming place - thankyou !!!

This time last year I found myself with something of a dilemma – my child who had attended Lund pre-school for the past 18 months, and was really settled, was due to start Little Blues and the norm (what everyone seemed to be doing) was to attend Little Blues 5 mornings and stop going to pre school.

However my work commitments were not going to allow this to happen. I decided to split my child’s week into 3 Little Blues sessions and 2 full days at pre school with some anticipation. What if all his friends left pre school and he was all alone? What if little Blues followed a totally different curriculum and he was confused.

Michelle, I can only tell you how well it has worked, the balance has been fabulous. Sam loves Little Blues – he was ready for the structure of a classroom environment. He totally loves coming to pre-school too. He would play outside on the cars etc. for the rest of his life I think!!! In today’s society of pushing children and putting too much pressure on them to perform too soon, I believe that children should be allowed to do what children do best – play. Sam knows that he can come to the village hall and do just that. He has come on so much in the past 12 months with both his numbers, letters and confidence. I am sure that the balance of the two environments has contributed greatly towards this.

I would just like to say finally, a big thank you to Michelle and all the staff for the wonderful job that you have done in looking after both Sam and in previous years Olivia. From September we will be finished with pre school and moving on to school – but I am sure both my children will always remember their days at Lund .

Thankyou!
